History

The Church of the Holy Family, 4100 S.E. Wyoming Blvd  (No mail) Casper, Wyoming is a log building on a hillside  looking toward Casper Mountain.  The parish was organized in October 1980, and moved into the log church,  a large part of which the parishioners built,  in July of 1992.   We have a long driveway  of about 3/4 of a mile to the site after turning off Wyoming Blvd.

The clergy include: The Rt. Rev. Kenneth H. Kinner, Episcopal Vicar,  The Rev. Deacon Jimmie Dean [ to be ordained to the priesthood at the June Synod of the Diocese] and Postulant William  'Bill'  Brummet.  The Sunday Mass is at 9 a.m. always preceded by Matins at 8:45 a.m.  Holy Days are announced on Sunday.

The Men's Club of adult men and teenage boys meets every month and is about to begin a study program.  The Young People sponsor various projects to help the parish and prepare for the Diocesan Camp at Story, Wyoming

which begins after the Sunday Mass  on July 19th.  This will be the 12th annual youth camp sponsored by the parish.

The Senior Warden Johnny Becker will be the 2009 Camp administrator and soon to be Father Jim will  be in charge of the worship and spirituality. Bishop Kinner will conduct an evening 'retreat' for adults based on the Songs of the Old Testament.

The clergy of the parish also travel frequently to serve the Church of St. John, Lander, Wyoming and the Church of the Morning Star, Wind River Indian Reservation.   A hospital ministry helps all Reservation people who are often sent to Wyoming Medical Center.
