All Saints Anglican Church

History
In mid 2003, Bradley and Jean Rupp of Wichita, Kansas found a conservative Bible-believing, 1928 Prayer Book parish in Springdale, Arkansas where they felt at home. Every other week Bradley, Jean, and their two children would make the five hour trek from Wichita to Springdale to worship at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church. A few weeks later, Bradley and Fr. Ken Rick, the rector of St. Gabriel's at the time, decided to plant a mission of the United Episcopal Church of North America about halfway between Wichita and Springdale. They decided upon Pittsburg, Kansas. In early September, 2003 Bradley ran an ad in the Pittsburg Morning Sun newspaper posed in the form of a query, "Are you disappointed with recent events in the Episcopal Church? Are you looking for a church that teaches traditiona Episcopal faith and values?" The ad then provided a telephone number for people to respond. Several people did respond to that ad and in late September, the folks of the future Anglican Mission at Pittsburg met with Fr. Rick at Schlanger Park in Pittsburg and said the Evening prayer office together. They all agreed after the service to meet again the next week for Holy Communion at Martin and Patti Dickinson's place of business in Pittsburg. They met again for worship, and a week later decided upon the temporary name Anglican Mission at Pittsburg while looking for a more permanent place to worship. In November of 2003, the church began worshipping at the former st. Barbara's Roman Catholic Church in the Chicopee community of Pittsburg, and changed her name to All Saints Anglican Church.
On February 21st 2004, Mr. Jon Hunter was ordained to the office of Deacon by The Most Rev. Stephen C. Reber, Presiding Bishop of the United Episcopal Church of North America. Deacon Huner was then assigned as Deacon-in-charge to both St. Gabriel's, Springdale and All Saints Parish, Pittsburg. In June of 2004, The Rev. Leo J. Michael became the rector of St. Gabriel's, leaving Deacon Hunter as the full time Deacon-in-charge of All Saints. On September 18th, 2004, Archbishop Reber ordained Deacon Hunter to the Holy Order of the priesthood, and in 2007, Bishop Leo J. Michael installed Fr. Hunter as Rector of All Saints Parish and as the Archdeacon of the South for the Diocese of Holy Trinity & Great Plains. All Saints is part of the DHTGP of the Holy Catholic Church - Anglican Rite.
